It’s OK.
This simple phrase can give so much comfort when said to someone else, or more importantly to yourself. How many times have you quietly whispered to yourself “It’s ok. It’s ok. It’s ok.”? An even more critical twist to remember is that it’s ok -- even when everything is not ok.
On the heels of "Take Care" -- our first successful bi-monthly show -- comes a new body of work around the theme of "It's OK. We’re completely reworking the gallery space with this message, and will be sharing it with all of you at the YAB HQ Gallery on May 18, from 6-10pm.
The exhibition is in conjunction with Hope For The Day: proactive suicide prevention + mental health education. It's ok not to be ok, have hope. Last year, we created a large “it’s ok not to be ok” installation in their newly opened Sip Of Hope, the world's first coffee shop where 100% of proceeds support proactive suicide prevention and mental health education.
