Similar to many connections at Hope for The Day, this partnership organically begin after Maria Requena (an Education Instructor) met a parent at a local open mic night and struck up a conversation.

When asked about this education experience, Maria shared,

“It’s a small world! I loved seeing my music world and Hope For The Day world coming together. The experience at Roger’s Park was really sweet, everyone already feeling at home and connected because of our shared love for music and mental health.”

After providing six educations for students and one for parents, this partnership serves as a reminder of the what is possible when we are willing to simply talk about mental health in public spaces.
